My Secret Revealed... Philly Here I Come

It's probably the worse kept secret ever. I am a horrible secret keeper... and apparently so are all my friends! haha. I was gonna tell ya... was just waiting til Thanksgiving to use it as what I'm thankful for...  so here goes.
Learned a lot from these guys... not just about news/weather;) My crazy news uncles.
I'm moving. Wednesday is my last day=( I'm taking an anchor/reporter job in Philadelphia at WPVI, the ABC O&O station there. I am excited to get back to the east coast near family and friends... but the move isn't an easy one for me.

True story: When I got the call saying I got the job... I cried... unexpectedly. I was excited and happy... but all of a sudden I realized how much I was going to miss Indy and all the amazing friends I've made here. A friend was at my house... who promptly made fun of me and has told that story to other friends.

I'm thankful for this amazing opportunity. I started off in this business with big dreams and I'm still working on getting there. Still... even though I dreamed it... it's really more than I ever thought possible... but it is very bittersweet. I will miss all of you. I thank you for your incredible hospitality... for welcoming me here and being so kind to me.

In case you're wondering... I really do love my Fox 59 family. It's one of the greatest groups of people I've ever worked with. I couldn't have asked for a better place to be the last 3 years... and leaving here is one of the harder things I've ever done.

Bob puts me in my place... haha... on a regular basis.

Clearly "Daddy Ray Ray" and I have a lot of fun together!

Some of the nicest, sweetest, most amazing women I've had the pleasure of working with. Love them.

News and weather!!! Together=)

Gold Swagger! Marisela and my steady photog Nate. What will I do without him?!

Sometimes we don't goof off... sometimes.

Thanks for all the laughs! There have been a lot of them!!!
To say I'm blessed would be an understatement... I'm thankful for the experience I've had these last 3 years... and for what's still to come. Again, thank you all for making Indiana such an amazing place for me!

25 Years of Indy Habitat For Humanity

I had the pleasure of emceeing the 25th anniversary event for Indy Habitat for Humanity Saturday night. It's been a crazy week... so I'm sorry it took me so long to get these pictures up.

You may have noticed that Fox59 has really gotten behind this cause... we have now made it an annual event to build a house in our parking lot for a deserving family. All of us who work here have been a part of this... picking up hammers and doing stories about the deserving family.

They talked a lot Saturday night at the big celebration about the goal: to give hope to those who never imagined they could dream... to change communities by inspiring them to want better and be proud of themselves.

If you've ever met one of the deserving families... you understand that these are incredibly deserving and thankful people. The most amazing part of the journey though is seeing the family get their home. It reminds you that having hopes and dreams really does matter.

Happy birthday Indy Habitat. Here is to the next 25 years...
Reunion with my former morning co-anchor, Scott Jones. Scoopy was my co-emcee for the night!
